Exped makes a good line of sleeping mattresses. They are known for their backpacking and camping tents. Some mats are thicker and heavier, while others are lighter. They all provide great insulation and make for a comfortable sleeping surface.
AMOK SLEEPING PADDLE
Amok, a lightweight sleeping mat that weighs only 17 oz. and packs into a small box. It's a medium rectangle shape and measures 10.5 x 5.1 in packed and 72 x 20.5 x 3 inches inflated. It's insulated with synthetic insulation and is covered with a 20D ripstop fabric that's thin enough to keep the weight down but also durable enough for the trail.
ENSOLITE SLEEPING PADDLE
Ensolite from Exped is another great ultralight pad that provides excellent insulation and comfort. The pad's Texpedloft synthetic insulation is made of 60 g/m2 of foam that's welded to the air chambers so it doesn't shift around in the mat. It's incredibly comfortable to sleep on and surprisingly quiet too.
Sleeping Mats ULIGHT
The Exped Synmat UL is another excellent ultralight pad that offers incredible comfort and insulation while only being a little heavier than some of its competition. The Synmat UL is insulated with a synthetic insulation that's designed to mimic the thermal qualities of down, but it's much lighter than down and doesn't lose its loft as quickly. It's also very quiet, and the soft material on the face makes it an ideal choice for people who are looking to reduce weight.
STATIC V LUXE SLEEPING PAD
Klymit’s Static V Luxe was a hit in the camping world over a decade back and is still a favorite today. The Static Luxe features deep chambers to either side of the mat and a system in a V shape running through the middle. It feels more like a mattress than a mat for those who sleep sideways.
ETHERLIGHT XT INSULATED AIR SLEEPS MATS
Ether Light XT Extreme insulated sleeping mat provides excellent insulation for cold weather. It's insulated with Thermolite insulation that lofts inside the pad to give it a 6.2 R-value (the women's specific versions have additional Thermolite insulation for a 6.3).
This air mat will keep you warm in winter camping and during cold weather. It is much warmer than other air mats. The mat is slightly thicker but lighter than most of its competitors. A Schnozzel air pump bag comes with it. It's easy to use your arms or hands instead of your lungs to pump up the bag. When not in use, it can be used to compress your sleeping bag and store your clothes in a waterproof stuff bag.
Alps MASTER SLEEPING Z MATS
The Alps Master Z foam mat is a large, comfortable foam mat. It's a good choice for basecamps or car camping where weight and size of the pack aren't as important. The mat is a very comfortable 3 inches thick and has a reflective platinum coating that helps reflect body heat, which in turn reduces convective heat loss. It is covered with a durable 30/40d nylon material that has a soft feel. It's also very easy to inflate with the included Schnozzel pump bag and once rolled up is a relatively compact size that will fit into most pack bags.
