Ringing Rocks is a Pennsylvania geological treasure. It is comprised of a large boulder field which has been cut open and is exposed to the public. You can strike the boulders to produce a metallic sound. Unfortunately, there are no trails that lead to the boulders so you cannot explore them or walk through them.
It is not necessary to book a reservation to visit the boulders. The boulders are closed at sunset and sunrise. You may also want to be careful when attempting to climb in the rocks. It is best to not pick up any rocks and to keep the area clean. You should also be aware that not all rocks are made to make a metallic ringing sound. Some rocks may have spots that have been worn down from being repeatedly struck.
