Boy Scouts of America, a non-camp youth service organization, is known for using the outdoors to foster character, leadership, and a sense of place. Young adults and thousands of children participate in exciting outdoor adventures during the summer months. The BSA strives to teach the life values. It offers a fun, educational, and exciting curriculum that prepares children for the future.

Cub Scouting is also a family-based program that the BSA offers. Its purpose is to create strong families and encourage young people living active, healthy lives. Its programs focus on teamwork and personal achievement. The program includes activities such as camping, hiking, and backpacking. It encourages children's imaginations to expand, improve their skills, and uncover new interests.

Venturing, which is youth-led, combines Scouting’s core values with outdoor adventure. This program allows young adults learn new skills, make friends, and become leaders in real life. The program provides long-term and short term camping, backpacking, and other backcountry activities. Throughout the program, participants may participate in high-adventure activities such as rock climbing, kayaking, and more.

The BSA has several other camp options that can help scouts discover the great outdoors. These facilities include Camp Tuckahoe, a 242-acre facility located on Stillwater Lake. Another popular facility is Camp Circle X at Big Horn, which is located in Tonner Canyon.

The Boy Scouts of America’s Paul Bunyan Scout Reservation, spanning 600 acres, borders the Huron National Forest. It is located southwest Kalamazoo, in Texas Township. It is also located on M-33. This high-adventure camp is open to boys and girls from six to twelve years of age.

Camp Brorein is one of the oldest Boy Scout camps. It was established in 1923. The camp is surrounded by two lakes and many Live Oak trees. It also boasts a shooting sports range as well as an indoor eating area. The camp is a favorite for scouts.

The camp was managed by the Alexander Hamilton Council in Hudson County, NJ during the 1930s/40s. It was one of the first to offer Wood Badge training in America. The council closed the camp in 1979. The remaining 56 acres of land were sold.

The Flaming Eagle Scout Reservation was created in 1972. It includes three clear spring-fed natural waters. It's located close to Cypress Gardens. It is well-known for its unspoiled wilderness.

The S - F Scout Ranch is comprised of four camps. Sinquefield Scout Ranch covers 580 acre. It is a member in good standing of the Mic-O-Say Scout honor order and boasts a metal shop as well as a full-wood shop. A scouting camp is available for boys aged ten to fourteen. It is the fourth camp of four at S – F.

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has a duty to protect its scouts. This requires the organization to provide adequate training and to make sure its volunteer troop leaders are properly supervised. The Youth Protection Program also helps with this responsibility.
