You can stay in an RV, rent a cabin, or paddle the Ichetucknee River when you visit the Ichetucknee Family Campground. It is located in Fort White Florida and offers many amenities.

For camping, you can choose either the tent or primitive camping area. The sewage disposal station is available for RV camping. You can also rent rafts, tubes and paddles to paddle the Ichetucknee River. A group campsite can also be booked. If you choose to do so, you will be able to enjoy a spacious and peaceful campsite. The campsite also offers a volleyball net, a basketball hoop, picnic tables and a basketball court.

The campground is only a short drive from the Ichetucknee State Park which is an excellent spot for boating or tubing. The river is a six-mile long creek with clear, transparent water. It comes from freshwater springs. This makes it a great place to swim. If you aren't sure about going on the river, there is an outdoor grill available. You can also rent a canoe or kayak.

The campground is open year-round. You can also enjoy fireworks at Christmas, New Years, and Thanksgiving. There is a small store at the entrance. You can find everything here, including cigarettes as well as scuba gear. The general store also rents tubes.

You will find the campground a pleasant place to stay. However, you must remember a few points. First, ensure you understand the rules. Be prepared to travel in an RV. The road is made from fine sand. If you are wet your feet you may find yourself walking on loose sand. This could cause problems for your RV. You must make sure your dogs are allowed to bark in designated areas.

Another common complaint is that the bathrooms aren't adequate. The bathrooms are located near the main office and they aren't very convenient. It is not possible to use the toilets in large groups. The campground does not have Wifi so you will need to search for other accommodation.

Smoakhouse, which has been serving Ichetucknee's area since 1994, is also worth a visit. The ranch and campground can be found on 50 acres. Enjoy hiking, fishing and even hot breakfast for just $99. Ranch animals are also available for rent. You can also rent fully-appointed cabins.
