Riverside Park Conservancy Summer Sports Daycamps
From June 4-August 24, Riverside Parks Conservancy holds weekly, low-cost sports camps within the city's picturesque parks. There are baseball, basketball, soccer and tennis options, as well as flag football and multi-sports camps.
Summer math programs are free for NYC students with low income. Sixth graders spend five weeks developing logic and problem-solving skills while seventh graders attend a three week sleepaway camp.
Change it Summer
The Development for Change Foundation runs more than 12 free summer camps throughout Brooklyn and the Bronx to combat the dreaded summer slide. The camps are aimed at helping students from under-resourced neighborhoods become more independent, confident and responsible.
BEAM Discovery and Seventh Grade Programmes at BEAM
These two programs offer a unique experience to low-income sixth- and seventh-graders. These programs are free and include lunches, daily transportation to the campus, and field trips.
