The best part of the GMFC is that it's a family-friendly campground. The day-use fee for the GMFC is $4. This includes access to the pool, and nearby picnic areas. However, it's a bit of a hike from the campsite to the nearest trailhead.

There's also an on-site shop, a game room and pavilion for bingo. The campground also features a pond. The campground is also within easy reach of Bristol's Bartlett Falls. The GMFC and Middleblury Municipal Forest are also easily reachable. This is an important consideration for families with pets, as there are restrictions on bringing them to the campground.
The GMFC also houses an RV park. It can be found within the main campground. The GMFC welcomes equestrian clubs. This means that there are many opportunities to ride horses in the area. You may prefer a camp that is more tranquil and serene for your vacation.
Cedar Hill Campground is another option. The campground offers camping in both the south and north areas. Holiday Inn Express can also be rented. The hotel has a small playground, but internet service isn't very reliable.
