If you are looking to find an RV park that is family-friendly and pet friendly, with a fishing pond, and some history, then look no further. Ballyhoo Family Campground is located on the Cumberland Plateau. This campground is a good place to relax and get away from all the noises of the city.
This RV park offers a large dog run area as well as other amenities that won’t make you a millionaire. A disc golf course is available at the RV park. This allows you to play while you aren’t in your RV. The campsite offers many other perks, such as a 9-hole Frisbee golf course, a green and a lake. It is convenient to Byrd Lake, which makes it a great spot for a picnic. The camp is located in a picturesque setting and the owners are willing to share their wealth.
While it is not unusual to find campgrounds with only the essentials like electricity, cable TV and WiFi, others offer full-service RV facilities with all the trimmings. While I haven’t visited the Ballyhoo Family Campground in full disclosure, it’s an excellent place to spend some quality time. According to what I heard, Stanley Watkins and Doris Watkins were friendly and are likely to host future guests.
The best part of the ballyhoo, or batty, is that it is family owned and operated, which means they're happy to help you out when they can. You can contact them by phone, email or Facebook. Or, you can just turn up on their doorstep. If you feel brave enough to leap in the river, there are several waterfalls nearby. During the summer months, it can get warm in the area, so bring your jacket or light raincoat.

The campground has many attractions, including a small lake, trees for shade and cute resident ducks. It's not hard to see why this RV park has been popular with families and travelers for decades. The shortest drive from the campsite is just over four miles, and the camp is situated in a quiet, country setting that is a joy to be in.
