Riverside Park Conservancy's Summer Sports Daycamps
From June 4-August 24, Riverside Parks Conservancy holds weekly, low-cost sports camps within the city's picturesque parks. You can choose from soccer, tennis, and baseball options. There is also flag football and multisports camps.
The summer math program is free for NYC children with low incomes and includes a trip to a college in the upstate. Sixth-graders spend five months learning logic and problem-solving skills, while seventh graders go on a three-week sleepaway camp.

The Development for Change Foundation runs more than 12 free summer camps throughout Brooklyn and the Bronx to combat the dreaded summer slide. These camps help students in under-resourced areas to be more independent, confident, responsible and self-reliant.
