The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is a non-camp youth-serving organization that uses the outdoors to develop character, leadership, and a sense of community. Young adults and thousands of children participate in exciting outdoor adventures during the summer months. The BSA is committed teaching the values that last a lifetime. The program provides a fun and engaging education that prepares children to face the future.

Cub Scouting is a family-based program offered by the BSA. Its mission is to encourage healthy and active living by young people. Its programs focus on teamwork and personal achievement. The program includes activities such as camping, hiking, and backpacking. The program encourages kids to express their imaginations, learn new skills, and discover new passions.

Venturing, a youth-led program, combines Scouting's fundamental values with outdoor adventure. This program allows young adults learn new skills, make friends, and become leaders in real life. It offers long-term and short-term camping, backpacking, and backcountry trips. Participants may take part in high-adventure activities including rock climbing, kayaking and many more.

There are many other camps that the BSA offers to help scouts explore the great outdoors. These facilities include Camp Tuckahoe, a 242-acre facility located on Stillwater Lake. Camp Circle X at Big Horn is another popular facility, located in Tonner Canyon.

The 600-acre Boy Scouts of America's Paul Bunyan Scout Reservation borders the Huron National Forest. It is located southwest of Kalamazoo in Texas Township. It can also be found on M-33. This high-adventure camp is open to boys and girls from six to twelve years of age.


Camp Brorein opened its doors in 1923, making it one of America's oldest Boy Scouts Camps. It is surrounded by two lakes, and many Live Oak trees. It has an indoor dining room and a shooting range. Scouts love the camp.

In the 1930s and 1940s, a camp was operated by the Alexander Hamilton Council of Hudson County NJ. It was one of the first to offer Wood Badge training in America. The council closed the camp in 1979. The remaining 56 acres of land were sold.

The Flaming Eagle Scout Reservation was created in 1972. It includes three clear spring-fed natural waters. It is near Cypress Gardens. It is well-known for its unspoiled wilderness.

Four camps make up the S - F Scout Ranch. Sinquefield Scout Ranch covers 580 acres. It is a member to the Mic-O-Say Scout honor Society and has a fully-equipped metal shop and wood shop. It also offers scouting camps for ages ten through fourteen. It is the fourth camp of four at S – F.

Boy Scouts of America (BSA), has a responsibility to its scouts. This means that the organization must provide appropriate training and supervise its volunteer troop leaders. The Youth Protection Program fulfills this responsibility.
